SHEET METAL CUTTING
Caspe offers its customers a professional sheet metal cutting service for third parties, both with plasma technology and by shearing.
What we do
Taking advantage of the high quality equipment we use for metalwork manufacturing, we are able to carry out the cutting of sheet metal with thicknesses up to 30 mm and lengths up to 6000 mm on behalf of third parties, using an automatic shear or a uHD plasma cutting machine.
Plasma sheet metal cutting
Plasma sheet metal cutting is currently the most widely used technology in the industry sector. The operating principle is very simple: in a plasma cutting machine the blade is a jet of gas brought to the plasma state, which melts the sheet metal and removes it from the cutting area.
High-definition plasma cutting thus allows, first of all, to obtain a very high level of precision in the edges, which combined with the high cutting speed results in an excellent ratio between costs and performance.
The uHD plasma sheet metal cutting machine that Caspe uses to offer this service allows us to operate on sheets up to 30 mm thick, boasts a 6000×2000 mm workbench, and can work both on flat surfaces and on sheet steel profiles or pipes.
Sheet metal shear cutting
Sheet metal shearing is one of the most common and traditional cutting methods for this material. Sheet metal shears are equipped with a fixed and a moving blade, placed respectively below and above the piece to be cut; the moving blade is actuated by hydraulic pistons capable of developing very high power, while a device called a sheet press clamps the material by making it slide along special adjustable guides.
Sheet metal cutting by shearing is a fast and efficient process, which allows for the execution of large volumes of work.
The sheet metal shearing machine that Caspe uses to offer this service cuts sheets up to 20mm thick and up to 3000 mm long.
